What time does your vessel depart?
Our vessel departs at 10AM daily, weather permitting.
Is there parking near the dock?
Yes, there is free parking at Montagu.
How long is the boat ride to Sand Dollar Island?
The boat ride to Sand Dollar Island located on Rose Island is approximately 35-40 minutes given sea conditions.
What do you offer on Sand Dollar Island?
We offer access to our beach, lounge chairs, hammocks, day beds, dining area, lunch, bar, restrooms, ping pong table, pool table, beach volleyball, non-motorized water equipment such as paddle boards, boogie boards, snorkel equipment, and kayaks.
What should I bring with me to Sand Dollar Island?
You should bring a towel, sunscreen, hat, cash, credit card, camera for photos, and comfortable shoes.
Do you have an age minimum or maximum?
No, we do not have an age minimum or maximum. However, please note that the legal drinking age in The Bahamas is 18 years old.
What is your buffet lunch menu?
Our buffet lunch menu offers your choice of a hamburger, chicken burger, impossible veggie burger or wrap (available upon request), chicken tenders, grilled chicken wrap with spicy mayo, grilled fish wrap with lemon & garlic aioli, hot dogs, chili dogs all served with french fries or a tossed salad, and a soft drink.

Can I rent the property for a private event or wedding?
Yes, you can rent the property for a private event or wedding. We consider this a buyout and the cost is provided via a custom quote.
How many persons can Sand Dollar Island accommodate?
We can accommodate upwards of 400 persons on the island at any given time.
How many seats does Sand Dollar Island have for lunch?
Approximately 120 existing seats between the inside dining area and the deck, however, we are able to provide additional seats if necessary.
What forms of payment do you accept?
We accept cash, Apple Pay, credit & debit cards (Visa, Mastercard, Discovery, AMEX).
What is your cancellation policy?
Bookings canceled 48 hours or more will be refunded 100% of the booking cost, however, bookings canceled 24 hours prior to the tour date are not subject to a refund. This cancellation policy does not apply to island buyouts and charters, as the policy differs. Cancellations by Sand Dollar Beach Resort due to weather or any unforeseen circumstance will result in the guest being refunded 100% of their booking cost. “No show” guests for their scheduled tour date and time will be charged 100% for their booking cost.
Do you provide life jackets?
Yes, all of our vessels are equipped with life jackets.
Is your company fully licensed and insured?
Yes, all of our vessels and property on Sand Dollar Beach Resort is fully licensed and insured.
Do you offer gift vouchers?
Yes, we do offer gift vouchers.
